Charles Reed Cagle was born in Clarksville, Texas, in 1962. Mr. Reed Cagle and his wife, Donna, have been happily married for almost 30 years. They resided in Colorado Springs, Colorado with their son from 1999 until 2017, before relocating to Plano, Texas in 2018. For 35 years, Charles Reed Cagle has been active in all facets of the energy sector.
Mr. Reed Cagle started his career with Kinlaw Oil Corporation in 1986 as an associate. In 1996, he relocated to Dallas, Texas, to assist in the establishment of a small independent energy company. Mr. Cagle founded Heartland Energy, Inc. in 1997, which eventually became HEI, where he served as President and CEO. He enlisted operators, drilling contractors, geophysicists, engineers, service businesses, and a range of other energy sector specialists, acting under the instruction of joint venture partners. Charles Reed Cagle entered the drilling service business in 2006, funding and constructing a 2000 horsepower drilling rig capable of drilling to a depth of 20,000 feet.
Charles Reed Cagle entered the mining sector in the United States and South America in 2011. He purchased a mining concession in Oregon, which yielded approximately 89,000 ounces of gold. Charles Reed Cagle was instrumental in the financing and day-to-day running of a copper and gold processing factory in Copiapo, Chile. He developed a patented procedure for removing and neutralizing harmful substances from liquids while recovering valuable metals as a result of his mining activities. This technique is being employed in Copiapo and has the potential to be used globally in the mining industry.
Charles Reed Cagle returned to Texas and started advising with numerous small independent oil businesses, using his years of expertise to simplify operations and steer clients toward lower-risk horizontal fields in Colorado and Texas. He advises with a big commercial landscaping firm in East and Central Texas in addition to his oil and gas customers.
Reed spends his leisure time fishing, hunting, cycling, and playing golf with his son.
